• Location: Location permission to find and use nearby Beam vehicles and provide parking location guidance
• Photo/Media/Files: To enable the saving & loading of photos of parked vehicle or helmet selfies etc.
• Storage: used for storing app settings locally
• Camera: Camera is used for scanning vehicle QR codes, taking photos at the end of a trip, helmet detection selfies, and scanning payment cards
• Wi-Fi: Checks your Wi-Fi connection to help the app stay connected and work smoothly.
• Internet: Allows the app to connect to the internet so you can use the app properly to find vehicles, start rides, and access maps.
• Bluetooth: Bluetooth used to unlock helmet locks and communicate with Beam's BLE-enabled vehicles
• Run at Startup: Lets the app stay synced even after your phone restarts.
• Vibration: Used to vibrate your phone for alerts and confirmations (e.g., ride start).
• Screen: Keeps your screen awake during important actions like scanning, unlocking, or whilst riding our vehicles.
• Google Services: Allows the app to access Google service settings needed for features like maps and location accuracy and to capture app crash and performance data
• Service notifications: To send you important service-related messages (updates to T&Cs, payment issues etc)

• Marketing Notifications: If you allow this, it enables us to send you promotional messages

Terrible!! I could not get a scooter to work. I tried two. The first one would not go, and the second one kept screaming loud noises at me. I was charged $10!! No refund. I was only using it for 13 minutes trying to get it to work and I didn't move more than 3 metres. Shocking service. Both were fully charged too, I checked. I will never be using again.

all I can say is if you cannot connect to the data and you lose the connection when you want to stop you cannot end it in the app which can result in up to three times the charges and I know they did not replace or refund this credit I've done the same journey which only cost me €2 but they charge me €7.70 my customer services I blame me for not disconnecting when I couldn't not connect to the app to disconnect

50-60% of the rides end up with no power mid-ride. It's super frustrating if you have to get somewhere on time. Often happens in the no parking zone. Very unreliable. I keep on reporting it as feedback on the app and nothing happens. Not recommended in Adelaide.
