About this ebook

Instant New York Times Bestseller!

From the world's #1 bestselling author, PI Brendan Holmes has committed the perfect crime—he’s made himself disappear.

“Bestselling author James Patterson populates his murder mystery novels with cold-blooded killers and smart detectives.” —USA Today

Success has come quickly to Holmes, Marple & Poe Investigations. The New York City agency led by three detectives—Brendan Holmes, “the brain,” Margaret Marple, “the eyes,” and Auguste Poe, the “muscle”—with famous names and mysterious pasts is one major case away from cementing its professional reputation.

But as a series of child abductions tests the PIs’ legendary skills, the cerebral Holmes’s absence leaves a gaping hole in the agency roster.

Only by closing ranks and solving the mystery within can they recover all that’s been lost.

I loved Holmes, Marple & Poe and loved the sequel. Three private investigators with the last names of Holmes, Marple and Poe have formed a team and managed to solve murders that stumped the NYPD. When six infants are stolen from a hospital nursery. the plot is convoluted, but the farfetched action is rounded out by out by secondary plots with Holmes chasing his own demons and Poe dealing with life changing news. I loved the scene when they appear at a mystery writer's conference.

This is a non-stop thrill ride with newborns kidnapped on one continent and babies on another as well as school children from a bus. Marple, Holmes and Poe are on the case, but Holmes is sidetracked with the mystery of a serial killer. Lots of twists and red herrings. Perfect addition to the series but may be read as a standalone. All opinions expressed are my own.
