I mean it's an ad free metronome with probably more options than you'll use, but also straightforward and simple. You can't really ask for more than that. Best of all, it's free! :D (worth noting that basically every negative review is from comments made before a patch was introduced that fixed their problem)

thank you for the recent updates! I appreciate the Song Library feature, and definitely making use of it. However with one of the recent updates, the metronome sound clicks go silent when I switch between Bluetooth, device internal audio, or plugged-in USBC headphones. Interesting, it only affects the metronome clicks sounds, but other app sounds like user interface sound effects work correctly. The only workaround I found so far is go into Settings, and do "Reset all".

Thank you so much! I'm able to reproduce the Bluetooth issue, very strange and I wasn't able yet to find the reason. The web also is not helpful because nobody seems to ever have this issue, so I hope I can find a fix. Edit: I was able to find a potential fix for this problem, please write me a mail so I can send you a test release!

Does the job, with some quirks. I have had problems with it losing output to my Bluetooth headphones while the phone still remains associated with them; stopping and restarting the app solves this. and I am still a bit confused by why it seems to put the accent on the 2nd beat; I can work with that but it's not what I expected. The ability to speed up every n measures is good for training, but an increment of 20 is too large is what I'm trying to rehearse is a smooth accelerando.

I will publish an update with a fix for the Bluetooth audio bug. The beat accent is not static, probably you tapped on the beats and you have to adjust the beat accents by tapping on them again. Regarding incremental tempo change: you have to use the slider and the range buttons to get values down to 1 bpm. Please update your review if that helps.

What’s new

• "Practice tempo" option in song details, allowing parts to be played at a reduced speed
• Live update notification for active timer on Android 16+
• Improved audio engine performance and stability
• Optimized background playback/notification behavior and shutdown logic
• Fixed timing delay on the first beat
