SnowCast is a new snow and weather app built for skiers and snowboarders who want better days on the mountain. This is our beta release, and you’re getting an early look at what we’re building.

Powered by The Weather Channel’s most accurate forecast*, SnowCast helps you find the best snow, track storms, and make smarter ski and snowboard decisions before you go and while you’re there. Whether you’re planning a trip, chasing fresh powder, or checking conditions mid-day, SnowCast focuses on the snow and weather details that actually matter.

Because this is a beta, you may notice things still taking shape. Your feedback helps us improve SnowCast for the entire ski and snowboard community.

Snow Forecasts You Can Trust:
Get 72-hour probabilistic snow forecasts that show not just how much snow is possible, but how likely it is. Track storm timing, intensity, and snowfall with confidence so you know when and where fresh snow will be worth the trip.

Built for Ski and Snowboard Planning:
Compare snowfall across more than 1,900 ski resorts to quickly see where conditions are best. Check recent snow totals, current snow depth, and upcoming snow forecasts to decide which mountain is worth your time.

Weather by Elevation:
Mountain weather changes fast, and it changes with elevation. SnowCast shows weather conditions at the base, mid-mountain, and summit, including snow accumulation, temperature, and wind speed. This helps you understand how it will actually ski, not just what the valley forecast says.

Real-Time Mountain Conditions:
Avoid surprises on ski days with live resort data, including lift and trail status, snow depth and recent snowfall, visibility, and changing weather conditions. Know what’s open, what’s windy, and where the snow is holding up.

Snow and Weather Maps:
Use interactive weather radar and snow maps to see storms move across the mountains near you. View snowfall totals, snow depth, and forecasted snow to spot the next powder opportunity.
