With WearOS 6 (July 2025), Facer introduced a new architecture supporting Google’s Watch Face Format – way more performant especially on battery life. Hundreds of thousands of faces ready at launch. Designers are developing variants of popular faces that didn’t automatically convert – new faces released daily!
Watches that shipped with WearOS 5 & haven’t received WearOS 6 yet – our app shows a selection of faces available to download on Google Play. We expect these watches to update to WearOS 6 soon (newer Pixel & Samsung Galaxy watches already updated).
Watches that launched with WearOS 3 or 4, even if updated to WearOS 5 – our legacy Facer app continues to work with our massive catalog. HOWEVER, Google is removing our legacy watch app from the Play Store January 14th, 2026.
- New downloads of our legacy watch app & new purchases will not be possible after that date on these older watches.
- If you already have our watch app installed, subscriptions & purchased faces will keep working; however, you will not be able to renew your subscription or purchase new faces unless your watch updates to Wear OS 6.

Suddenly disconnected from my watch, couldn't find my face that I *already* had set and was working last I checked an hour ago. I go to the app and also find that I can't push the face to my watch anymore, but not only that, it's no longer in my favorites. So I search again and find it and add it (+a bunch of others) to my favorites, and NONE of them are showing in my favorites panel, nor does pushing them work. 1. Plz fix favorites 2. Fix phone sync 3. Let us store more than one on the watch!

We're sorry to hear about all the trouble! Please ensure that the Facer app is up-to-date and that you have the correct device selected in the left-hand menu in-app. Google made significant changes in the supported face format for WearOS6, which has impacted features such as storing multiple faces on the watch. We appreciate your feedback!

Used to be able to have several watchfaces (up to 3 I think) you could pull up on your watch itself and switch quickly between them instead of having to go into the app to switch. Not only that, but most of my saved watchfaces are no longer available AT ALL. I had one absolute favorite watch face that I used all the time, woke up one morning and it was completely gone. My watch defaulted to the factory watchface overnight. This app used to have so much variety, guess I may have to look elsewhere

WearOS6 uses a new architecture for watch faces defined by Google (Watch Face Format & Watch Face Push protocol). Limits us to 1 face on your watch at a time - then use Facer phone app to select another. Unlimited there. New format improves performance but removes some features in legacy faces. Because of this, not all faces converted to WearOS6!

It used to work very well, now a bunch of my favorites are missing, all of my faces in the "recent" faces are gone and most of my purchased faces no longer allow me to select them as they say "Not Available" I've tried troubleshooting and made sure my watch was set as the correct version in the app but still the same message. Reached out to support as advised and still have not received any response.
