I've noticed I've stopped using the app since it changed. It looks really nice and I'm sure would be great as a relaxed read on a big tablet. On a phone, though, it's just more effort to navigate through the content and the actual articles aren't as easy to read once you've clicked into them, and so I've stopped bothering. That's a shame as Editions was a nice way to read the news without being sucked into the 24-hour anxiety-scrolling that accompanies most news apps.

One of the best things about the old Editions app was the way it handled photographs. The new version doesn't bother at all - if it's over two pages in the printed version, it's on two pages here too, which is a significant downgrade. In terms of readability, the text in articles is duplicated randomly, which is just confusing, and it is no longer possible to share an article from the app, so if you find something interesting, you now have to make note, then open the 'normal' app and search.

The latest update is absolutely awful! It's like reading a microfiche. How this is considered an improvement is beyond me. Bring back the old, a thousand times easier to read version of the online guardian. This version also contains a bug where in the middle of an article, you'll start reading paragraphs from earlier on in the article.
