i turned it off the day i set up my phone years ago, but it updated a couple days ago and started sending me daily notifications. i double-checked and it's still disabled. i had to also turn off all notifications permissions, which means it's still running in the background even though it's entirely disabled, using resources. That's beyond rude and is entirely on the developer. It's bloatware and spyware. Collected data includes pics, apps, usage, personal info, email.

Hi, we’re sorry for the trouble. Glance is a pre-installed feature delivering news, games & more to your lock screen. It can be disabled but not uninstalled. To disable: swipe on your lockscreen, tap the gear icon, go to Settings, then turn off “Enable Smart Lockscreen.”

did not want this installed, it just showed up, and I can't shut it down without somehow losing access to my camera. if my lock screen somehow pops up you can easily accidentally tap glance and open up a bunch of news stories you don't care about, because it doesn't even seem to be based on an algorithm, so it has no idea what stories I'd be interested in. AND on top of everything else. the news story I don't care about and didn't ask to see is half covered up by an ad!

I don't want bloatware on my phone and I don't need additional information on my lock screen. this app is trying to update and install itself over and over again, even though I disabled it and deleted all updates. I payed for my phone, I decide what's going to be installed! Stop this nonsense! [Edit] emailed them as they suggested in a reply. Nothing from them! This is scam!
