Space Rangers: Legacy

It starts slow, but once you get the hang of it, SR:L will become much more fun. Lots of things to do in game, and we have more freedom for both customizing our character and gameplay style (going for more fighting or chose peaceful trading and salvaging, or both) And the game has plenty of lores to read, to understand the storylines and side stories, not like most mobile games nowadays. Highly recommended.

I miss the text quests, but the rest of the game is great. I haven't found the invitations to rate the game or to buy the paid features in any way intrusive. I could also notice great UX/UI improvements comparing to Space Rangers 2: HD, and I really hope the devs will continue improving the game and add the cool features of the PC version it lacks now.

I thought it was pretty cool looking, but I have to uninstall it due to the sales tactics they use to push iap bundles. Don't get me wrong, it's not like a typical freemium game where you hit a pay wall and have to either wait 50 hrs or pay out some money. In fact, the way they have their IAP's is perfectly acceptable in my books, I just have a problem with seeing a hover button on the side of my screen letting me know there's a purchasable item on sale while I'm trying to get immersed in the game. I'm also not a fan of games which sort of prompt you to rate their game early on before you can get a feel for it. That can make ratings misleading because most people don't take the time to update their review either positively or negatively. The 4*'s isn't due to the quality of the game, from what I've seen, it's absolutely well developed and runs buttery smooth and is playable offline. You can tell the devs care about the game. The 4 *'s instead of 5 is due to the ever present special deal button on the main gui while playing online and ONLY because it doesn't go away, it's just sitting there with a timer working its way into your subconscious trying to trigger a buy impulse constantly... I'd even raise it to 5 *'s if an update made it flash on the gui temporarily, but was a persistent in the game menu. I suppose some people may consider that a nit pick, but it's something I bring up because people like me tend to close their wallets instead of open them when that tactic is used. So, uninstall for now. Maybe I'll pick it up later when I've $10 to spare to support the devs because you can definitely can tell TLC was put into this port and it IS high quality otherwise.
